The Guide to Adventure: a FREE RPG

Site: http://www.ncf.carleton.ca/~bd097

Fans of Fantasy and SF RPGs (Role Playing Games), are you bored with the same-old, same-old? Check out The Guide to Adventure, an independent RPG created by Michael Ball. You can download everything you need from the TGTA site, including handbooks, cards, game pieces, and more. Best of all, it's all FREE. These games have been around for three or four years, but are not as widely known as commercially-distributed games. They're available in Windows/PC format, using WordPerfect 5.2+ and PC graphic formats. The site also provides extensive background information on RPGs in general, and has an excellent FAQ, fantasy, historical, and futuristic game scenarios, a mailing list, and a Round Table forum. Downloads are easy: when I tested it, the funet ftp site worked for either browser download or direct anonymous FTP. Mr. Ball informs me that he is in the process of creating a new website for the game, which will be at http://www.meramic.com/tgta, along with a reworking of the rule-set, so check back regularly for upgrades!
