Imagine on any given day, no fewer than 1,800 abused and abandoned dogs, cats, birds, and other animals being lovingly cared for in the nation's largest no-kill/life-long animal shelter. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, located on 33,000 acres in Angel Canyon, Utah, is working diligently to accomplish its mission of "no more homeless animals." The shelter is divided into unique "Towns" such as Dogtown, Wildcat Village, TLC Cat Club, Bunny House, Happy Herd, and Wild & Feathered Friends. They offer many services such as a full adoption program and a rescue service for abused and injured animals, as well as seminars to teach people how to care for animals and how to start their own shelters. This is a unique and compassionate organization that does extraordinary things for our best friends. It's worth the visit.
