Return to the Christopher Hewett Moment

Site: http://members.xoom.com/timawa/index2.html

Who knew that the low-rent 1980s sitcom "Mr. Belvedere" had made such a profound impact on our culture? I was shocked--and a trifle dismayed--to discover not one but three different sites devoted to the program indexed on one of the major search engines. This one is by far the best. This obsessive fan site provides copious information on the cast, production crew, and behind-the-scenes history of this genial family comedy, which starred Christopher Hewett and "Mr. Baseball" Bob Uecker. Did you know that "Mr. B" was actually based on the 1948 film "Sitting Pretty" starring Clifton Webb? I sure didn't. What's the connection between the show and dinner theater fixture Robert Goulet? True fans will know; the rest of us get to find out here.
