HealthCentral.com's Dr. Dean Edell reports that in the study it was found that those who ate meat as their source of protein gained more muscle mass than their counterparts who ate non-meat sources of protein, such as dairy and eggs. The idea that eating meat helps build muscle had lately been relegated to the level of myth, with many nutritional organizations advising against it.
