The Law for Teens

If you're a parent, you hope the words "juvenile justice system" never play an important role in your life. But the legal system is something every teen--the straight arrows and the rotten apples--should be aware of. Legal Pad Junior is the place to go for that awareness. It's laid out like a funky teen web zine, but here the articles don't deal with dating and acne but with courts, curfews, and crosses at school. Some features were not accessible when I tried, but the "Law & You" section provided a fair and balanced exposition of both sides of the curfew debate. A link at the bottom allowed teens to voice their own opinions. There are also online games, a chat room, and a message board where teens can exchange views on the legal issues that affect their lives. I'll bet more than one pubescent visitor opts for a legal career after sampling the engaging features at this well-constructed site.
