A survey performed by NFO Interactive found travel and apparel to currently be the top categories for women, who indicated that they planned to spend $965 and $793, respectively, in those categories within the next year. Ms. McDaniel, of Women.com, claims 51 percent of their audience have purchased online in the last 6 months, "more than 10 percentage points higher than the average for women online."
