Among the constellation of twentieth-century tennis greats, no star shone brighter than Don Budge. The first person to win a Grand Slam (he accomplished the feat in 1938), Budge dominated the sport through the 1930s. This tennis legend died last week at the age of 84. Follow the link above to ESPN.com for an overview of his singular career. The two links at the right of the screen are also absolute musts for tennis enthusiasts. It's unlikely that the sport will see another player with the Budge's grace and finesse, so do yourself a favor and read up at the URL above.
