GPS for the rest of us

If you are new to the world of the GPS or thinking about buying one, this may be just the right site for you. As the motto indicates, this is a site "for the Non Rocket Scientist." It does provide excellent, understandable descriptions of the workings of GPSs and how these relate to map co-ordinate systems, deviations in compases, etc. The lack of a direct link between one page of the site and another is something of a pain, as you have to go back to the home page to get to a new toic. However, the site more than makes up for this by including cute graphics and being very informative.
