CheMystery: Virtual Chemistry text.

Free online virtual science texts may not provide the content or quality assurance of hardcopy text books. But the price is right. This site targets the high school chemistry market. The project was developed competitively by three students under the direction of a qualified chemistry "coach" for a ThinkQuest contest. All three students now attend university. The content on the site is frequently reviewed and has been updated many times since originally created in 1996. The material is organized cleanly. It's also designed for quick loading and easy navigation. The organizational areas cover those likely to be covered in most high school curricula, and the site is a very useful adjunct for serious chemistry students looking for powerful supplementary study aids. The organizational categories include: atoms and molecules, states of matter, chemical reactions, bonding, acids and bases, etc. Also helpful is a very active forum with hundreds of postings on chemistry! The forum affirms a wide acceptance of the site and its obvious utility for students. Give it a try!
