Can Peedy be your buddy?

You may have seen Catz! and Dogz! for download on the Web (virtual pet programs). Anything that is a downloadable program and "interactive" is fun for all. But did you know that there's an interactive surfing companion you can download for free? He's your "Bonzi Buddy." Give him a free download, and you'll get "Peedy the Parrot." He's an animated interactive character that will talk, sing, and browse and search the Internet with you. He'll tell you jokes, say what you tell him to, and the more you use him, the more he learns about you and what you like. He'll find websites you haven't yet discovered. He'll get smarter every day. The technology used to make "Peedy" work is Microsoft Agent, and it uses the "Lernout and Hauspie" text-to-speech plugin. This technology works so well, you can visit any website, and Peedy will read it out loud for you! I have to believe that in the future there will be many more uses for this technology, and I wouldn't be surprised if ICQ, or one of the search engines implemented something like this soon. You can upgrade your Bonzi Buddy and install a module that allows to talk to Peedy through you microphone.
