Gambling Magazine

Site: http://www.gamblingmagazine.com

Gambling magazine is a purely virtual magazine. The site's articles are interesting, not least because of their venomous nature. On the front page, there is an e-mail from the Starnet CFO, Jack Carley, to "Claude," where Carley says he would like to fire all of the sysadmins at Starnet. (A commonly felt emotion, for anyone who has dealt with a team of system administrators!) The next article states that an ex-Starnet licensee, Las Vegas Casino, Inc., is suing Starnet for $1 Billion! (Looks like online gaming has finally made the big time.) Las Vegas Casino, Inc. claims to have received thousands of complaints from customers due to buggy software and billing errors, in Starnet's software. The site sports a Black List of online casinos to be avoided! (I am pleased to say my casino is not on the list.) Most of the time, the reason sited for black-listing a casino is SPAM. I would have thought slow or non-existent payouts would have been the primary cause. Funny, Las Vegas Casino, Inc., with all of their billing errors and buggy software, did not make the list! The table of contents is pretty exhaustive; topics range from casino of the day/month, to "Today's Headlines," which might be better called "Headline of the Day." If the current articles aren't fiery enough, I recommend browsing their archives. Some pretty wild stuff! All in all, I like the site. It is the online gaming magazine equivalent to "The Jerry Springer Show." The editor is clearly grinding several axes, and may have stood in the sun a bit too long. (I hope that doesn't get me on the Black List!)
