Legal history, from mesopotamia to GATT

Site: http://www.wwlia.org/hist.htm#2350bc

It's no substitute for a college course, but the World Wide Legal Information Association's page documenting the Timetable of World Legal History is certainly an interesting reference guide for whenever you want to plumb the annals of mankind's collective legislative background. Handily hyperlinked, this guide makes it easy to bounce between the trial of Socrates, the Magna Carta, the Geneva Convention, and other such milestones. Chances are you'll learn a thing or two you didn't expect--like the fact that the Chinese invented fingerprinting, or that Athenian citizens literally loved Draco to death. Who knew?
