a big night for bluegrass

With a music award show on TV virtually every night of the week, you'd think that there's no way that one of these industry fetes could have passed you by unnoticed. There was, however, an important ceremony this week that almost slipped under the radar: The Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America's Awards. Fortunately for us, Country.com caught all the action in Nashville, and offers a run-down of the winners of these fan-voted prizes. The band IIIrd Tyme Out led the pack with six shiny gold trophies, but several other bluegrass masters also received multiple accolades.
