Of Mice and Men

Site: http://unisci.com/stories/20001/0201004.htm

Not Steinbeck, but the prestigious journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. The publication included a report, summarized at UniSci.com, from doctors at Rockefeller University and Cornell University. The sciencists found that when they gave the little rodents testosterone supplementation, it helped stave off the development of Alzheimer's diesease. The researchers are hopeful that a similar approach may prove useful in preventing eldery men from suffering the ravages of this mind-destroying disease. The text here is fairly dense with scientific jargon, but it's quite short, so any intrepid soul should be able to digest it.
