Talkin' folkie

As the makers of this site remind us, "Folk music is an art form for everybody." And in the interest of educating everybody about all (and I do mean all) aspects of this art form, Bill Markwick has kindly created the awesome--the enormous--the tremendous Folkie Dictionary. The site opens with a brief explanation of folk music culture, and then plunges in with the entries. Dozens of "Quick Start" entries are linked at the top, to give tepid browsers some idea of where to start reading--but if you've got a particular term in mind, scroll down to the table of contents, where you'll be able to sort through listings alphabetically. From "aboon" to "Zimmermann, Charles," it's all here. This is definitely one for the bookmarks.
