Beethoven: the unheard sounds

Site: http://www.unheardbeethoven.org/search

When Mark Zimmer and his fellow Beethoven-fanatic Willem decided to create a MIDI library of previously unrecorded and rarely performed Beethoven works, they probably never imagined that their project would coalesce into the fantastic, hypertextualized form it has today. Their website, The Unheard Beethoven, features hundreds of recordings that you just can't find on CD without going through a lot of trouble, if at all. While the MIDI format may not always completely capture the depth of the music, hey--at least you're getting a chance to hear these songs, which is a lot more than can be said for most people! Works are handily sorted by opus, hess, Biamonti, Gardi, and Woo numbers. So tell all your Beethoven-loving cronies, stop by, and have a listen.
