I don't know about you, homey, but I've always had a special fascination for Swedish culture. Maybe it's those delectable meatballs, or the image of a long-legged stewardess with a tiny bottle of vodka in her hand. But it was only recently that I discovered that Sweden was a hotbed of hip-hop culture. Now I keep Svendatta.com bookmarked and at the ready for whenever I need a dose of hip-hop, Scandinavian style. Although the site's in English, its layout can be a little off-putting at first. But take your time and you'll find much to savor here: interviews with the leading lights of Swedish rap, sound clips of some of the latest jams, even a chat room for you native Swedish speakers. There's also some collateral coverage of the thriving Norwegian rap scene as well. A great introduction to the "Swede" sounds of Scandinavia, comin' to y'all down Stockholm way.
