Telephone customers in Colorado who were expecting a state-mandated refund because of poor service will have to wait a little longer, according to this article from the Denver Post. US West is seeking an extension from state regulators on the $12.77 million, because it cannot understand the method by which the amount was calculated. The dispute could wind up being decided in court; in fact, a group of disgruntled customers has already filed suit seeking $160 million in penalties against the utility, which has been cited for untimely repairs, among other complaints.
