Is it time to bid adieu to radio? With internet broadcasting barreling full speed ahead, good old-fashioned through-the-air broadcasts may be singing their swan song. Ironically, as the Web helps hurry radio's demise, so does it offer an easily-accessed repository of some of the golden moments of radio's salad days. One example of such a tribute site is Radio Days, linked above. Here, you can find detailed info on some of yesteryear's great radio shows, like Captain Midnight and Jack Benny--and best of all, listen to these entertainment pathbreakers in all their audio glory. This well-organized, beautifully-designed site is a terrific resting place for some of radio's greats--and if the cyberspace can keep these entertainment gems in our consciousness, then three cheers from me.
