Like any adventure, the current Cybersurfari web contest instills in the players a sense of daring. After all, following clues hidden among websites sometimes takes a player to uncharted territory, to sites they never would have discovered on their own. But that is only part of the picture. The purpose of the game, originated by the nonprofit Children's Web Surfing Alliance, is to provide a safe place for kids on the Internet to learn and to have fun. A player can sign up to play individually, or families can play together as a unit. The current game runs through October 15; great prizes, including cash, are a plus. The clues are sometimes difficult, but the game always delivers; both fun and adventurous.
