iMac influence outside of computer industry

Site: http://www.pcworld.com/pcwtoday/article/0,1510,15388,00.html

You know, out of all the PC magazines, I like PC World the best. I always have. They give credit to Macs when it's due; they trash Macs when they deserve it. Those Mac skeptics should read this article to know how much difference a lowly computer company with a mere 10% market share (at best) is making a difference in this world, to the chagrin of people who can't stand Macs. Mac haters can't stand the fact that Apple gets much more media attention than Dell, Gateway, Intel, and Microsoft. They can never stand that Apple can sell mediocre products (at best) like the iMac and the iBook because they add unusual features (!) like color and style. They can't stand that the computers they love are boring. They can't stand that Mac fans are much prouder of their computers than the PC users. And most of all, they can't stand that Dell can never revolutionize the industry, and the world, as Apple has done in the past and continues to do.
