Marketing Your Site: Think Big - Really Big!

Reallybig.com advertises itself as the largest directory of web building resources on the Internet. And there's no doubt about it. If you want a major resource to help market and promote your site (not to mention to help you build your site from scratch), this is the place to go! To find out how best to advertise and promote your site, go half way down the page at http://reallybig.com/reallybig.shtml, and click on "Site Promotion." Then decide whether you want: a) do-it-yourself promotion, or b) to pay someone else to promote your site. (I recommend option a if you're on a tight budget - and who isn't these days.) So click on "Do-It-Yourself Site Promotion." They give you a long list (in alphabetical order) of places to go to start increasing your website traffic immediately. You could spend hours going from one resource to another - there's so much packed into this one page. My only criticism about the alphabetical list of resources is that it gives no indication of whether one resource is more valuable than another - you have to figure out for yourself what is most valuable from the short descriptions. And maybe that's okay. It would be nice to get a few recommendations from the publisher of the website, but then again, maybe that's not the purpose of this website.
