Cybertown: A jolt to interactivity online?

Site: http://www.cybertown.com

Do you remember when terminology such as VRML was in vogue? When enthusiastic online service providers offered to take us on tours of their online cities: "Join our community today, build yourself a virtual home for free." Nowadays, it seems like these relics of the good old days of the Internet have withered away. But it looks like virtual communities are back in fashion, this time with a sci-fi twist. Powered by the zest of Blaxxun Interactive, this site was originally two different online communities; and Colony City and Cybertown are, in fact, still merging and bringing together the best of both worlds. If you decide to settle here, be prepared for a mountain of choices to personalize your new identity, including a home and a theme for your milieu. Cafés, flea markets, and clubs await you. After so many years of empty promises from VRML hosts, I was a little sceptical when I saw this advertisement, but after looking over the site with a critical eye, I can't wait to dive in.
