The Most Wanted Paintings

A Dia art project was started in 1995 in which a professional market research survey was used to determine color and taste preferences in paintings. The project was created by artists Vitaly Komar and Alex Melamid, and sponsored by Chase Manhattan Bank. More than a dozen countries were surveyed in hopes of discovering what the majority of people really want in a painting. The survey results are in and "The Most Wanted Paintings" may surprise you.
