DoubleDown

DoubleDown is an online magazine with roots in the world of print. From the functional and attractive front page, I clicked on "Current Issue," which leads to the table of contents for the issue. Despite not having their current issue online, they do have several gaming articles on their site. The topics include: strategy, travel, online gaming (just 1), and "More Articles." The "When and Where" section is a good spot to visit; it covers Las Vegas, Chicago, Mississippi, Canada and Atlantic City. The section mostly contains information of contests or activities at casinos in those locations. DoubleDown also has a "Favorite Sites" page. It appears to have just a series of banners and links. No reviews, but they do have a couple of online casino banners. Overall, the site is well done, but not much content. It doesn't waste your time with large downloads, yet still has nice asthetics. Before heading out to a casino, you might want to check the "Local News" to see what events are taking place in your area.
