Women's Heart Attack Symptoms Are Different

Site: http://library.northernlight.com/PN19991109040000689.html?cb=13&

Meredith Wadman, the author of this article published in Fortune, presents information that every woman should know--how to recognize the symptoms of a heart attack, not in a man, but in a woman. Heart attack symptoms are different in men and women. Amazingly, this is not common knowledge, even among doctors! Wadman states "In a Gallup survey, 88% of primary-care doctors didn't know that women's heart attack symptoms may differ substantially from men's." And it is heartbreaking to say the least that some women who have heart problems feel that they have to keep it a secret for fear of losing a job, or not being hired! Come on women! Learn! Do something! Find out answers to basic heart health questions like: Should women take aspirin to help prevent heart attacks? What about estrogen and heart health? Become informed! This article also has women's heart health links so you can find out more.
