Upgrade doubles iMac speed, but at what price?

A new upgrade from iMAXpowr can double the clock speed of your original 233 MHz iMac to a 466 MHz. The installation sounds fairly straight foward, with no changes to the computer other than switching the card. The upgrade, from Newer Technology, also "doubles the backside cache on the processor card to one full megabyte." But according to MacNN, the steep price ($699 minus a $200 rebate) doesn't add up or make sense for current iMac users. Get the lowdown here.
