Yvonne Porcella (Calif) is one of the leading contemporary quilters in the USA. She has been working, first as a weaver and then as an art quilter, since the 60s. Her vibrant use of color and innovative techniques (which include burning the edges of silk before quilting with the fabric) have lead to her work being included in many galleries and in a collection at the Smithsonian. She has written several books of both how-to and inspiration. It's a real treat to get to see her quilts on the Web.
