Praise the wee children

Ever wonder what a small group of 4th and 5th graders could do with their own maritime site? Well, here it is. The Thinkquest Team from Deerfield Elementary School in Edgewood, Maryland has created a marvelous adventure for adults as well as kids. They cover the oceans of the world, shipwrecks, use of flags, careers and, my favorite, legends and superstitions. (e.g., Did you know that by Scottish law a fisherman was required to wear a gold earing to pay for his funeral, should he be drowned and wash up on shore?) This is a site you can share with your kids or simply enjoy on your own.
