Top » Computer: MacSo Let's Review the Mac LineSite: http://www.macmilitia.com/coverstory/ultimateproducts.shtmlNow that Steve Jobs announced lots of new products at Tokyo Mac Expo, Apple once again offers many different lines of computers. So, can you count, remember, keep track of, understand the differences between, and decide among the iMac, iMac DV, iMac DV SE, iBook, iBook SE, three lines of PowerBook, and three lines of PowerMac? Did I mention you can customize those Power Macs? If you can't, this link would help you distinguish between them. But despite 11 lines of products, Apple isn't trying to confuse you. Remember those days when Apple had the PowerMac 4100's, 6100's, 7100's, 8100's, 9100's, the Performa whatevers, all the PowerBooks...? And they had something like three speeds for each model? On the other hand, do you remember when the only computers you could buy from Apple were the three models of PowerMacs, an iMac, and two PowerBooks? If you ask me, Apple finally got this product line thing right. Wed, 01 Mar 2000 14:41:09 -0800 Submitted by: Joe Sasanuma
