Mr. Mitnick Goes to Washington

In yet another sign that the geeks are taking over, veteran hacker Kevin Mitnick testifies before the Senate Governmental Affairs Committee on Thursday. This article from ZDNet gives a good overview of his testimony, in which he explains the ease with which a comeptent hacker can penetrate even the most seemingly secure computer systems. Mitnick also offers his frank assessment of current U.S. government efforts to thwart and detect hacking. Fascinating reading.
