DVD hackers vs. Hollywood

Site: http://www.wired.com/news/politics/0,1283,34808,00.html

For those who haven't heard yet, the "un-hackable" DVD encryption code has indeed been hacked. Not only has the code been broken, it has also been posted all over the Internet. Fearing that DVDs will soon go the way of MP3s, the MPAA is jumping all over this new development. According to this article from Wired, the MPAA has hired "one of the largest, oldest, and meanest" law firms in New York city to crush the hackers before the toothpaste really gets out of the bottle. Meanwhile, the hackers are left basically fending for themselves, trying (unsuccessfully) to pull together and hire a law firm. For the "inside" story on the DVD Wars, click above.
