Alan Keyes Gets Support from Flake

Conservative Alan Keyes got praise from an unusual source last week: Rev. Floyd Flake, a former Democratic Congressman who once got a 100% rating from Americans for Democratic Action. It's not Keyes's policies that Flake praises, but his honest articulation of what he believes in a world of politicians dedicated to spin. Flake writes of Keyes: "Like him or not, Keyes shoots from the hip and is rarely off message or target. That's the advantage of having beliefs that are not shaped by pundits or handlers who tell you what the people want to hear, rather than what they need to hear." Such praise from one's idealogical adversaries shows that, despite not winning a primary yet, Alan Keyes has made an impact on the campaign.
