17-yr-old hacker "Coolio" busted

The massive FBI manhunt is over; computers have been seized, confiscated and ransacked; a dangerous perpetrator has been nabbed. Finally, the devastating cyber-terror reign of "Coolio" is over. Yesterday the FBI arrested an average-looking 17 year old punk at his father's home and dragged him down to headquarters in front of leering TV cameras. His crimes: hacking and vandalizing three websites, including the DARE.org anti-drug site, a U.S. Commerce Dept. site, and (what else) a site operated by an Internet security firm. Young Dennis Moran of Wolfeboro, N.H. got his kicks by posting pictures of Donald Duck shooting smack on the DARE home page and replacing their tagline with one of his own: "Drugs are really excellent."
