Don't Leave Home Without Them

I had no idea there were so many flags used in sailing until I saw this site! When our best friends sailed to the Bahamas, they had to hang up a yellow t-shirt because they didn't have the traditional yellow flag meaning "Ship meets health regulations; requests clearance into port." This site is part of the U.S. Naval Academy sailing home page and is worth a visit--and a bookmark. Don't go sailing without it--or the flags!
