An Island Addition!

Looking to add a little spice to your culinary intellect? Then check out this site on Tongan food and culture. A variety of traditional dishes and drinks made with fresh fruits and vegetables are described and photographed straight from Tonga. Seemingly more important than the ingredients are the authentic styles of preparation for dishes like La Pulu, which is a spinach and corned beef dish cooked in an umu (underground oven). Or how about a refreshing drink of watermelon, pineapple, apple, and coconut, combined into a cold concoction? I could go for one right about now... Sean McEachern
