Update on American Drinking Habits

A new study released yesterday shows a promising fall in U.S. drinking rates. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism conducted a study that found between 1988 and 1992 the number of Americans who drink alcohol fell by 8%. The National Longitudinal Alcohol Epidemiologic Survey contains over 300 pages of data that reveals some positive statistics and some discouraging ones.
