World Land Speed Record Holder Team Vesco

Site: http://www.teamvesco.com/index.htm

A little-known but very exciting form of motorsports is World Land Speed Racing in Bonniville Salt Flats. Team Vesco are the FIA World Land Speed Record holders for wheel-driven vehicles with a recorded speed of 427.832mph. The team website is full of interesting information about not only their own team, but also of other teams in other categories. The website contains info about Don and Rick Vesco, the two brothers who make up the Driving and Engineering aspects of "The Turbinator." That's the name of their car if you can call it that (it looks more like a missle with wheels). Those of you who have MPEG Software and a sound card can watch a 45-second video about what it's like to go 400mph. There is also a great page that details the history of The Land Speed Record in all divisions of the FIA. For a refreshing break from the usual form of motorsports, visit this site and get some new insight on a very exciting form of motorsports.
