Folk Music - A Starting Place

This organization, based in Washington, D.C., was created to promote a better understanding of peoples of all nations through their traditional folk music and dance. Although it's a membership organization, their website is a wealth of information for anyone interested in folk music. The links page lists websites of many clubs and societies in several different countries. Perhaps there is one near you; but, if not, I’m sure you will enjoy perusing these sites. There are also links for live festivals and concerts, seminars and workshops, dance, broadcast listings, artists, and more. Let’s all sing and dance.
