George Crumb is widely considered among music academia to be one of the best classical composers currently living. The public-at-large, however, has heard only snippets of his music from Carl Sagan's series "Cosmos" on PBS. Although one could certainly wish for sound samples of some of Crumb's compositions, this site is a good stepping-off point for those who wish to learn more about the man and his works. And here's a bit of trivia: his daughter is the Broadway actress and singer Ann Crumb.
