It is one thing to get worried about someone maliciously cracking into your e-il, but imagine someone remotely controlling military ships, planes, and tanks. CNN has a fascinating article on just that topic. As military weapons systems become more and more reliant upon computer control, there is a parallel risk of those systems becoming compromised by intruders. The article mentions one instance in which an officer, under military approval, inserted false navigational information into a Navy ship's computer. No doubt, the military will be one of the defining forces as far as web security as their systems become more technically sophisticated.
