From the early '50s into the early '80s, Chet Baker was jazz's true bad boy. In spite of a lifelong heroin addiction and regular run-ins with the law, Baker still managed to become one of America's greatest jazz trumpeters, playing regularly with Charlie Parker, and inspiring Miles Davis.
