Cypress Hill were the among the first to appropriate "weed" as a hip-hop signifier. Tracks like "I Wanna Get High" and "Legalize It" sought to legitimate cannabis as a viable lifestyle alternative to alcohol--if only because it helped "blunt" the reality of their surroundings. The Los Angeles based crew has decided to help you "get high" by joining forces with the British music publication NME. The Cypress Hill boys will--get ready--give you the chance to grow your own weed online! And it's all legal because it's just a Tamogotchi style game. In anticipation of the May 1st release of their new album "Skull and Bones," you get the chance of downloading and cultivating a cannabis plant. If you manage to feed and water it to full term, you are rewarded with a password to preview a track from the new album online. Sounds like fun. It also sounds like the crew have blunted their mental surroundings once and for all.
