Security in Publishing

The recent "hack" of Stepehen King's exclusively online novel "Riding the Bullet" has been said to raise eyebrows about web security. It would seem those eyebrows were already raised if there was an encryption scheme supposedly protecting the work in the first place. CNET offers a brief article with some informational links to resources on the topic of the King novel as well as other publishing security issues. It's great that the industry is taking its product seriously, but it is also invigorating to see that an author of such stature as King is willing to pursue this type of book selling.
