Barpoint.com will have all us technonerds out there so darn near close to nirvana we'll be dropping those reruns of Star Trek for Internet shopping like a hot phaser. This site lets you comparison shop for books, videos, DVDs, computers, software, and music all from your PC or Palm VII. You can download the capabilities for Palm VII directly from the site. There will soon be access, too, from a wider range of wireless devices, like your cell phone. Imagine walking into a store, scanning a product, and then being able to compare it to merchandise online. This free service lets you browse and search by bar code or text--like artist, title or author if you don't have access to a barcode. New product categories are coming soon, like toys, vitamins, office supplies, even groceries. The shipping and handling charges are even factored in, so you can really find the best bargains. There are also helpful examples to assist in barcode entry. Transport here if you want to boldly shop where no man...well, you get the idea.
