If you are a parent, and concerned at all about how you might become involved in the life of your children's school, you will want to visit this site. Project Appleseed is the "virtual headquarters of Project Appleseed, the National Campaign for Public School Improvement." Yes, they have an agenda, but it isn't a bad one. They ask you, as parents, to pledge to spend at least five hours each semester assisting at school, and fifteen minutes reading with your child each evening. And then they tell you about some of the ways you can help schools to improve, during those five hours.
