"In Our Path" - Community Issues Photography

What happens when photographers get personally involved in community issues? Photog Jeff Gates spent years talking and working with all parties to the building of the highly contested LA Century Freeway. I’ve enjoyed this site in the past, but after a makeover it's even nicer. "But is it art?" you ask. Well, Jeff has shown his project in several art venues and the site explores important issues of how an art community, the Web community and a local community interact.
