THE IRISH MAFIA BOYS' CLUB

Site: http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Park/1568/IrishMafia.html

Hollywood columnist Sidney Skolsky dubbed them the "Irish Mafia", but Frank McHugh, James Cagney, Pat O'Brien, Spencer Tracy and other members of this group preferred to call themselves the "Boys Club." This site offers an entertaining look at this informal group of actors of Irish descent who gathered from the late '30s to the mid '40s, and who often appeared in each other's films. In fact, Pat O'Brien and Spencer Tracy actually knew each other before they were stars and joined the service together during WWI. We are celebrating the centennial of Tracy's birth this month, so now's a great time to take a look at this site.
