Columbine Returns

Columbine High School students returned this week to find the school redecorated to remove all trace of their terrifying ordeal earlier this year when two of their classmates turned gunmen and killed 15 of their peers before shooting themselves. They also participated in a rousing rally which proclaimed "zero tolerance" for bullying and harrassment. Unfortunately, someone had got there before them - already there were swastikas painted on the walls. Meanwhile, in the Chronicle http://www.chronicle.com/weekly/v45/i49/49b00701.htm , Timothy Quinnan warns that this phenomenon will move into the colleges and universities, too, and we should take steps now to safeguard our campuses.
