D-VHS vs. DVD Who will win?

DVD may have a competitor sooner than it thinks. Not that there is anything really wrong with DVD, but one feature that it lacks right now (and is important to many consumers) is the the ability to record. This feature is in the near future, but it may be a year or two at least. At the above link, you will find information on a brand new product, the D-VHS (digital VHS) recorder/player. It is capable of recording several hours of HDTV quality programming, as well as being able to play your CURRENT VHS tapes too! This is really cool, and as of this writing, only Panasonic has a D-VHS available to the public, but many more manufacturers will be jumping onboard soon. Check out the link for more information.
